Web developer

The position will be on a per-project contract basis and may be suitable as a home working, part-time role, or in addition to a main job.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to write cross-browser compatible, accessible and efficient, XHTML (1.0) and CSS (2.1). With the ability to take a sliced visual design and transform into a web-page, for inclusion in the CMS.

Although all solutions will be delivered using Kentico CMS, developers require the ability to build websites using ASP.NET allowing the right candidate to expand the functionality of the Kentico CMS as the client's requirements dictate through the creation of web parts and custom modules.

The suitable developer will also require skills in T-SQL in order to understand and write queries required as part of the creation of websites with Kentico CMS.

Skills in javascript would be considered an advantage.

Although previous experience with Kentico CMS is not required, this would be considered an advantage. The opportunity to become a Kentico Certified Developer may be offered to the right candidate.

Experience with nopCommerce would be considered an advantage.

Skills in PHP, or JSP would not be considered an advantage for this role, as it does not involve any development using these technologies.

Although being based locally would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. Some reasonable travel may be expected, though most meetings can be completed using online video conferencing. 

Candidates are expected to provide their own, licensed for commercial-use, basic hardware and software. Specialist software (such as Microsoft Visual Studio and Microsoft Expression Web) will be provided by MyDigitalMedia as needed.
