Low cost entry to setting up a website online...

In today's markets, it's often difficult for new businesses to get off the ground without some serious investment to start with. With formation costs, premises, the initial cost of equipment, transport, and stock, it all adds up. We're always looking at ways to help new businesses get online so that they can gain the benefits of a website, for less.

For the next few weeks, we'll be dipping our toes in, and trying a new way of working with our customers. Until the end of June, in addition to our normal packages, a fully bespoke, professionally designed website can be yours, for just £20 per month with no initial deposit, or hidden costs.

Our package includes:
  • 5 page brochure website
  • Fully bespoke web design
  • Brand establishment
  • Logo design included
  • Online contact form
  • Domain name
  • Web hosting
  • Basic e-mail hosting (see Office 365 for enhanced e-mail hosting and more)
  • Search engine optimisation (SEO)
  • Search engine submission
  • Key link exchange
  • Up to 4 changes per page, per year. It's up to you when you use them.
  • No price increases - guaranteed!

What's the catch? Well, for those who are our customers, you'll know that we're honest and open about the way we work. And there aren't any real catches, but there are some fair terms.

Minimum term contract

There is a minimum term to the agreement. Our package is worth a considerable amount of money, and we need to ensure that we cover those costs whilst you're our customer. The minimum term of the contract is 24 months. At the end of the contract, you can cancel at any time without paying anything extra. Some providers will automatically lock you into another 24 month contract if you fail to renew... we're not trying to trick you, just work fair with you to cover our costs.

Intellectual property rights/Copyright

Normally, with all of our packages, your website is yours, all of the content, designs and brand that we produce for you are yours to keep and do as you wish with. Unfortunately, this doesn't apply to this trial offer. For the first 24 months, we (MyDigitalMedia) will retain all intellectual property and copyrights for the work that we have completed. You have permission to use our work in other formats (such as flyers, business cards, and car branding) whilst you remain a customer during the initial 24 month period. Once the first 24 month period has elapsed, IP and copyrights will be transferred to you to do as you wish in the same manner as we do with our other packages.

Page changes

Up to 4 changes per page are included per year. This is limited to page content, not page design. Changes to page design may cost extra, and this would be quoted separately before any work is undertaken. Content is limited to text and images in the body of the page. The page design is considered anything that constitutes the layout or template of the site, which may be consistent from one page to the next (such as headers, footers, menus, layout etc.).

Remember, we're only offering this as a trial until the end of June. Contact us if you would like further information, and as always, we welcome feedback from our customers as to what we can do better, and what you'd like to see more of.

Infrastructure upgrade...
As part of an ongoing review of the services that we provide, MyDigitalMedia this week invested heavily in the upgrade of the infrastructure used to host our customer's website and e-mail.

Depending on where in our existing infrastructure our customer's website may be, existing customers will benefit from between 5x and 20x more memory, 3x and 6x more processing power and faster storage, to ensure that their websites load much faster than they do today.

Change of bank account
Over the last few months, we've been transitioning all of our internal payments from our old business bank account with Santander to our new one with HSBC. This month we're asking our customers to update their records to make sure you're making payments to our new account.

MyDigitalMedia goes limited
We're pleased to announce that MyDigitalMedia has today become a Limited company. What does this mean for our customers? Well it doesn't mean a lot in the way that we work with, and treat our customers, but as you'll have seen in some of our other recent news, we've recently added more people to the team here and this change is to allow us to more effectively manage the way that we operate, and allowing us to better manage the future growth of our business.

New customer service manager appointed
This week Danielle joins the team at MyDigitalMedia to build up the customer facing side of our business. With a background and qualifications in customer service, and experience in social media tools and successful social media marketing running her own businesses in the past, Danielle will likely be the person speaking to you on the phone first time when you call.
